Two things on my mind...

This is what I am thinking about today.

Yard work.. It's a love hate relationship

The thought of painting our floors is really starting to sound and look great in my minds eye. Really what do you think???

I don;t enjoy yard work either. At all.

I say go for painting the floors, although I wouldn't choose white or a really light color, because, obviously, it would show EVERYTHING! I would choose a nice neutral.

M,
Good call. I was thinking light beige like the wall color in the picture. Hmmm. Or even an antiqued white. That way it’s supposed to look kind of dirty :)

Marilyn-your parents must be surprised about your yardwork non enjoyment. They are the example of enjoyment from it. But I am with you.
I think painted floors are so great too. It takes alot of courage to do it, but I think as long as you seal it good, everyone that has done it, loves it. Neutral is a great idea.

This is me being devil's advocate for a second...if it doesn't work out, is it worth the nightmare of having to clean up??? I guess I'm kind of a paint-o-phobe, probably because I can't visualize things til I actually see them. You're brave, though, and so creative that I'm sure it would all work out great!

We have just a hate-hate relationship with yardwork at our house.

I'm all for painting the floors too. It'll look so good. You must show pictures when it's finished!

Yard Work? What's that? I guess you have to have a yard to know about that!

Painting the floor...GREAT IDEA! I think it's super creative and I know you would make it look great! I like the antique white idea...it would really open things up! But, then again...I don't know too much about painting since I've never done it!

Hope you're having a great day! I'm excited to come visit tomorrow! See you then. Love ya! love, Tooty

Okay this is my thought behind the floors.. If they turn out crappy (a huge possibility) I can just re-carpet when we go to sell (which we will probably do anyhow to appeal to a wider variety of people) But, if they turn out great I will have beautiful floors for a VERY reasonable price and a little elbow grease...Karl has agreed to let me do the toy room/soon to be Kippi's room first to see how it works out. My goal is to have it done by April 6th. The process alone could take 2-5 days!

Hey Nik - my brother-in law has concrete floors that are stained and they look really cool. I guess it's all the "rage" out here in OK. :-) I'll send you a picture so you can see what it looks like all finished. Theirs happens to be super dark though. Great idea and love the reasonable part all the way to the bank - right?! Love you and talk to you soon.
