Sausage fingers anyone?

So here I am mega pregnant. What you’re pregnant you say? I know, I know you would never know it by looking at me ... Oh wait You must not have seen me in the last oh I don't know, ten years of my life because I pretty much always look pregnant even when I'm not. I have come to the realization that I will most likely be big forever but maybe not who knows. What I know for sure is this, With Kelten I gained 83 lbs! Yes you read that right. I did lose about half just in delivery but I managed to hoard the other half and add on another 10 and then Kippi came along. I did so well and only gained 22 lbs with her but I only lost 15 YIKES! Then I added 5 just in time for Rieken to make himself known. Again I did great and only gained 23 lbs but shoot I only lost 15 again... Then I went off and gained another 5 right in time for number four to take up residence in my now seriously out of shape but awfully well cushioned rental womb. Do you see the pattern here? I think I can safely say I'm bound to be round forever. I can handle round, I can. What I cannot handle is sausage fingers. Seriously! Is it not enough that my bum, boobs, tummy and well pretty much all of me get all puffy and stretched even further then they normally are? Is it not enough that I have constant pain in the um, well everything and really, is it not enough that I have like 7 weeks to go and I have already grown out of every piece of HUGE maternity clothing I own? Now I can't even wear my "pregnant ring"! Yes I admit I have a ring that I bought just for the very special occasion called third trimester. This way I'm not walking around all knocked up and unwed. But No! My fingers are officially full on sausages! I can't even type very well which is really bad because even when my fingers aren’t' so um sausage like I stink at typing. So here I am all puffed to the max with weeks to go and prove to me that the max is really not the max, and I can't even look down at my massive sausage links and see the one bright shiny spot on my entire being. A ridiculously huge seriously fake diamond that I get to wear only about every 2.5-3 years for about three months. Come on in my book this is supposed to be a perk now it feels more like a prick. (No pun intended) Well that’s that. I'm off to my Diabetes education class. Maybe my finger poking will deflate the links a bit and I can squeeze my legitimate maker back on for old times sake.

I'm back but only for a second.

I feel so bad that I have been out of the loop for weeks with only the briefest updates and very few comments to others. I'm really sorry I have so much to do I just need to get it done and frankly blogging is a time sucker. I sit down and only intend to be at the computer for 20 min and the next thing I know an hour has flown by along with my naptime wonder window. Ah well. I'm afraid this is the way my blogging life will be for the next several weeks. Too many projects & too little time. I will keep posting a little here and a little there as much as I can. Next month's calendar is already bursting at the seams and we haven't even finished April yet! I will try to post a few pics of life lately but it may take a day or two. So, until next time...

What's New...

I had my apt. w/ Dr. O today and guess what? I flunked my sugar test... No surprises there. I went in and made my apt w/ the diabetes learning center and I will have to start a new diet and check my sugars not three but four times a day OUCH! Wish my fingers luck ;) As of this moment I don't have to take any meds. I am crossing my soon to be callused fingers that I can control it with my diet. So far I have been really lucky and I have never had to go on meds but it gets worse and harder to control each time so here’s hoping.

In other news...
Karl and I are in charge of our family council for May. We are doing it on thirty meals for thirty days. It's all about making 30 meals in one day that you can freeze and store for those nights that you need them. When we where in 3rd ward a few years ago Sister Mackay did a wonderful Relief Society Enrichment Night on this. It is going to be fun and OH so worth it. The problem is this, I need a variety of freezable meals to offer my family as options by our April family council so I can get all the shopping lists done by May. I can't remember the ones Sister Mackay gave us or the name of the books she brought. I’m fairly certain a few of you may have been there that night and I was hoping you might remember? If not no worries. I am open to any suggestions in this area from anyone so bring it on

Baby update

Today was our last appointment with the specialist. We are so thrilled! When we were there last the concerns were:
My fluids levels were low so I was supposed to be drinking a gallon of water per day and they couldn't find one of the lil mans heart ventricles.
Today my fluid levers are sky high (can I just say I told you so?) and they still couldn’t get the view of the heart they were looking for. The Dr. said he feels fine with what they could see of the blood flow and and the rest of the heart & they don't see anything that gives them cause for concern at this point. So basically, even though they can't get the shots they need the shots they did get show no signs of anything worth worrying over.
The baby is also now weighing in at 4lbs 1ounce.That is over a pound of growth in the last two plus weeks! (YIKES and thank the heavens for c-sections!) He already has a little over 1 centimeter of hair on his head...I can't get the visual of a toddler sized baby with orange hair sticking every which way like clown hair out of my mind! Seriously... Any bets as to weather this one comes out with orange hair like Rieken, yellow like Kelten, or Dark brown like Kippi ?... And while we are speculating I say he is going to be the smartest and strongest of all of our kids to date and he will come out walking and speaking fluent French and English to boot. Why not?
I was supposed to go in and get my sugars tested 4 weeks ago but have I done it? Nope. I really don't see the point. I feel fairly confident I know what it's going to say. I guess I'm just trying to spare my finger tips the three times daily pricking as long as I possibly can. I have to do it tomorrow though because, I have an appt. with my regular doctor on Wednesday and I don't want him to think I'm a slacker. I may post later this week but, if I'm not back until the weekend no worries. So, that's all for now...

Weekend Pictures

Grammy Lanai took the kids all day Friday so I could get some cleaning done. Thanks so much Mom!
They had so much fun going to breakfast at IHOP, visiting their Great Grandma Little Gramma, going to the park, going to Grammy's office and going to Lunch and getting ice cream too! What a fun day and what a Fun Grammy! These pictures are at the office with Aunt Toot's new fabulous iPhone. Aren't they so cute? I love Rieken and his boots. I'm a little sad to say they will not be getting passed to his little brother like they were to him due to the giant hole in the heel. They have been both boys favorite shoes at this age and I'm not sure I will find another pair in that size for 5$ again! Kelten and his wonky teeth just crack me up. He thinks he so cool though and how can you not love that? Kippi is just a treat. I love all her many purses and wallets she takes everywhere packed with all her most important things. I am so grateful for three cutie kids who love each other so much!
I thought I would also toss a belly pic in for everyone’s enjoyment...Or not... I must say, I'm looking great after a long day of cleaning ...NOT. I'm huge and it's only going to get worse. But hey, that’s the way we roll around here...Literally :) I never thought I would be but, I'm just grateful I can still vacuum, scrub toilets, and bend over to pick stuff up off the floor! I must say balance is an art at when you are as massive in the middle as I currently am :)
We also got to spend some time with Aunt Toot. She took us all out to the movies Friday night. We went and saw Nim's Island. It was fantastic! Thanks Aunt Toot for the fun time and the pictures. We love ya and can't wait unitl you come visit us again.

Slowly but Surely

Spring cleaning is going great! I still have loads to do but I feel like I'm making progress even if it's slow it is sure. I have been taking breaks here and there to catch up on everyone's posts. I just don’t have time to read and comment. SORRY :(
The clock is ticking and I really can't put off the things I should have done months ago (stinking bed rest!) if I am going to be ready when this baby comes in just about 9 weeks! No worries though in just a few short weeks I will be back in blogging action. ~~~~~
General Conference was so wonderful and just what I needed. If you didn't get the chance to see it you can watch it here.

Spring + Cleaning = Blogging Break

So I've decided to knuckle down and get my Spring cleaning done. This means that I will be taking a break from blogging for a couple of weeks. Don't worry, I'll be back. But, in the meantime, have a great April!
