Big impact small space!

Okay so I am a copy cat decorator and I'm not afraid to admit it. I came across this amazing idea for a stencil wall here. I highly suggest that if she is not in your daily reads put her there. She has so many creative and thrifty ideas for just about everything. I LOVE HER SITE! anyhow on to my wall. I pretty much had this itty bitty wall that is the only wall we can put our T.V. on.I have always felt like it was a wasted space because I can't put much there with the T.V. and all. You know me I can't have an empty wall it's against my religion (not really). An empty space on a wall in my home draws my eye and hoards my thoughts until I can find something out there to fill it. Some people think it makes things cluttered I prefer to call it cozy. OK so really this time I am on to the wall for realz! So I picked my stencil traced it and cut it just like the tutorial said then I set to work. Luckily for me I can't sleep much being a cazzilion years pregnant so I pretty much did this in the middle of the night. I took me two days because I underestimated how much paint I would need. In the end I LOVE it and it makes my cozy making brain happy when I see it. So without further ado here are the shots. I would love to hear what you have to say on the matter.

Before... see what I mean small space. Oh and do you see that little pop out circle in the top right corner. That used to be a chimney I guess. It was my biggest concern because I knew the stencil wouldn't lie flat but because I freaking rock It looks AWESOME! Oh and don't mind my outlet hanging out of the wall, I had the handyman switch out an ugly black one for a nice pretty white one while I had the wall cleared.

During.... yeah I left that pop out for LAST

After... So I know these are not the best shots but I couldn't wait to post it so you get what I got:) The actual color of the wall is more like in the before shot then the darker tan thta shows in the others. I am thinking of taking the handles on the entertainment center and painting them red too. See I already took one off to test it out on. I will update you all later on what I've decided. This is not our final set up as far as stereo components go but it will have to do until after the baby is born and I am just fine with that. Oh and notice the pop out? Yup I didn't think so . I think the stencil actually hid it really well.

So here is here cost break down for ya...

4 pk of clear folders 2.50 @ walmart

copy of image blown up @ Kinko's .50

4 jars of Christmas red stencil paint @ 3.47 ea. from Hobby Lobby 13.88

stencil cutter from Joann's 7.45 w/ 50%off coupon

Elmer's spray adhesive 0.00 I had it already still have about 1/2 can left too :)

total = 24.33

And I have an amazing stencil I can re-use, a sweet new multi tool I can do tons with and a wall that has a huge visual impact with out all the "clutter" . I'm loving it. What do you think?
